so i thought it was a good idea to look through kristi's 1000000000 albums on facebook and i started crying because im going to loose my family soon

Well, really that will only happen if you guys let it happen and stop seeing each other or breaking contact with each other, or generally allowing "real life" take over your lives. But otherwise, I wouldn't worry about it. Matt Finck, Korey Herman, and I have known each other for almost a good decade now, for example, and I see very little reason why we wouldn't go on being best friends for the rest of our lives. You just actually have to put forth an effort to stick together, is all. And during these times, sticking together is probably the best thing we can do for ourselves and each other.

you don't lose your biological family just when you live in a different town or go to a different school, why should it be any different with your non-bio family? my thought is that if you focus on being afraid of losing something you are more likely to lose it than if you focus on being happy and really putting meaning and effort into the relationship while you have it.
