student teaching blows
school was canceled today and my teacher has called me 3 times this morning after the initial 'we have no school' call
because she is bat shit crazy

think i am going to boone later this afternoon to work on things and drink coffee and such.

i hate ashe county
its small and awful
i picked the worst time of year to student teach, winter is always sad and cold and depressing
ready for warm weather

i want to move back to asheville soon.

how is everyone elses life?

well, after a full day in the hospital, 2 days without power and no possible way of leaving the house (because of the foot and half of snow) I am now at pop and grannys clean and warm.

so today i woke up at 5 because an ice scrapper was in our parking lot making lots of noise
caroline was also up, but that was because she had to go finish a paper
must start my art history paper

walked to campus today, it wasnt too cold
the snow was nice and there was just enough ice on the ground to make me pay attention
it was a nice walk
got to espresso news just as the opened, i was the first one here
i win. and they were and are playing my favorite wilco album
soon i will not have espresso news coffee every morning, how will i survive?
things might be working out better for student teaching stuff
i found an ad that said rooms for rent in the jefferson area, rent $275 a month and they allow pets
we'll see how this goes

today is my last day of real classes in college
this is exciting and strange
finals arent so bad becuase i have stopped caring about any class but clay
this is not a good thing
but that is ok

i also feel i need to work on my vocabulary
i think i am going to get one of those "word of the day" calenders for next year
this could be good

i miss evan and am glad that i will get to see him for almost a whole month
kristi and i might have lunch friday? its a good thing.

i am bad at keeping up with people who are not in my immediate life
i havent talked to lisa in months
i am still sad i didnt stay in boone to see emma
(karma paid me for that one though haha)

ALSO real life is hitting me in the face and i am not prepared

the funeral was nice
dan looked "normal", the funeral people did a real nice job with his body
funeral rituals freak me out
the cancer moved so fast that it didnt have a lot of time to destroy his body, so he really looked like the dan i remember

i have this feeling that when i come home for student teaching that dana will find a way to say i am responcable for the house being this gross and nasty
im sure he will say i am the one who has to clean the 4-5 years of filth sense i left for college
it really does look like they havent cleaned it sense i moved out

what baffels me is how many times i was punished in high school for not cleaning the house when i was told to and not doing the dishes every night
now i come home for the first extended amount of time and there is rotten meat smell in the kitchen and the house looks like hell
and i am sure that dana could twist his way out of saying that it is not his fault
that none of the mess it his fault
that somehow its all mine and that i have to clean it up

i am going to have to find somewhere else to live for student teaching i know it

everyone, if you know anyone in boone who needs a place to live (perferably female) let them know i am looking for a sublease please

bad things happen in threes

my mom hurt her shoulder and had to have surgery with a long recovery time
dana discovers he has cancer

and today i found out that my uncle who we found out had bone cancer a few months ago passed away
